“How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! My soul yearns, even faints, for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.”
Psalms 84:1-2
Based in Saskatchewan, a province in Canada, we are members of the Malankara Orthodox Church from Kerala who started a small prayer group in Saskatoon. Our congregation is a small but growing community of believers who gather to worship, pray, and fellowship together. Throughout our community, we desire to be a beacon of hope and light and a place of refuge for those seeking spiritual guidance. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all of our guests. In our view, everyone has been created in the image of God and should be treated with dignity and respect. In order to achieve a culture of acceptance, understanding, and love, we strive to create a welcoming environment.
Galatians 3:28
*We are one in Christ*
Dear Beloved
We live in a land of Diversities. Our identity is no longer defined horizontally—by our relationship to other people, our politics, or our birthplace. It is defined vertically—by our relationship to Jesus Christ.
When we are baptized, when we commit our lives to Christ, we shed the old labels that divide us. We put on a new, primary identity: Christian. We are knit together, not by sameness of opinion or background, but by the shared presence of the Holy Spirit. We are members of the same body, nourished by the same source.
A Modern Call to Oneness
My brothers and sisters, this message is as urgent today as it was 2,000 years ago. Look around our world: we see divisions based on political parties, on perceived superiority, on wealth, on skin color, on everything the enemy can use to sow discord.
We are called to be a living testament to Galatians 3:28. When the world demands that you categorize your neighbor first by their difference, the Gospel compels you to see them first and foremost as one with you in the love of Christ.
Let us stop defining ourselves by what we are not and start living fully into what we are: children of God, redeemed by the same blood, and bound together in one beautiful, diverse, and unified family of faith.
May the peace of God, which transcends all worldly division, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
